"first day of (no) school"

Fall semester began today. I drove my sister and brother to their classes. It is the first semester since kindergarten that I am not attending school. Hahaha! What in the world am I doing?! I made this decision about a week ago, having never considered taking a break from school prior. I still have a hard time believing it.
Instead, come Wednesday, I will be moving up into the Santa Cruz mountains, to a place covered with redwood trees, called Camp Hammer. I've spent a few summers working at camp, but never the "off-season". I am looking forward to what it holds.
This morning I went to Aptos Coffee Roasting Company, a shop I worked at as a barista this past year, and told my old boss, after explaining my plans, "life comes at you fast so put your running shoes on!". She then gave me a free melita cone, filters, a pound of coffee, and asked me to come back as a full-time supervisor. I then told her I was flattered, but no, and I would see her around.
My running shoes are on. Lets do this.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Here are some random photos from lately.
